Artha Group is hiring an Associate – Compliance with 3–5 years of experience to join its team in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks applicable to a SEBI-registered Alternative Investment Fund, overseeing compliance procedures for investments made and received by the fund, managing regulatory filings, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure adherence to SEBI regulations, fund documentation, and financial disclosure requirements. The position requires maintaining a detailed compliance calendar, supporting audits, managing compliance reporting, and monitoring regulatory changes impacting venture capital fund operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations governing the operations of an Alternative Investment Fund, including investment-related compliance.
- Maintain and update compliance procedures for incoming and outgoing investment activities.
- Review, manage, and maintain statutory and fund-related documentation.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive compliance calendar covering all regulatory filing deadlines.
- Prepare and submit mandatory reports, statutory forms, SEBI filings, and regulatory disclosures within prescribed timelines.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and compliance records.
- Conduct periodic internal compliance reviews and ensure adherence to policies.
- Report compliance status and potential risks to senior management.
- Maintain detailed records of all compliance activities and filings.
- Identify and mitigate regulatory and compliance risks associated with fund operations and investments.
- Monitor regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of updated compliance requirements.
Eligibility
- Company Secretary qualification is mandatory.
- 3–5 years of experience in compliance management, preferably in venture capital, private equity, or investment management sectors.
- Strong understanding of SEBI regulations and compliance frameworks applicable to Alternative Investment Funds.
- Experience in managing compliance calendars and timely regulatory filings.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software and familiarity with legal aspects of fund management.
