Details of the Job/Internship

APCO is hiring an Associate Consultant, Public Affairs with 3–5 years of experience to join its India team in New Delhi. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of government policies and regulations.
• Prepare policy briefs, presentations, and advocacy materials for internal and external stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with key government ministries, regulators, and industry bodies.
• Develop and execute targeted public affairs and advocacy strategies.
• Support project managers in timely delivery of client deliverables.
• Identify project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
• Prepare high-quality reports, summaries, and client-ready documents.
• Support new business development through proposal drafting and client engagement.
• Represent the organisation at industry events and conferences.
• Mentor junior team members and support team development when required.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Affairs, Communications, Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in public affairs, policy consulting, think tanks, government agencies, or corporate teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical ability, attention to detail, and time management skills.
• Interest in current affairs, public policy, and industry trends.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
