Details of the Job/Internship
Chittranjan, Shah, Kay Legal & Associates LLP is hiring an Associate – Contracts, Banking & Commercial Laws with 2–3 years of experience to join its Mumbai office. The role involves work across banking and finance, commercial contracts, IPR, and due diligence matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including NDAs, MOUs, SLAs, service, vendor, agency, and licensing agreements.
- Handle banking and finance documentation including loan agreements, security documents, guarantees, and restructuring-related documents.
- Conduct title searches and prepare title search reports and legal due diligence reports for banks and financial institutions.
- Perform banking legal audits, including vetting of loan and security documents and preparing audit observations.
- Assist in IPR work, including drafting trademark licensing and assignment agreements.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognised university and enrolled with a State Bar Council.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a law firm or corporate legal team.
- Strong contract drafting and vetting skills.
- Working knowledge of banking laws, commercial laws, and property laws.
- Ability to handle assignments independently and meet deadlines.
