Details of the Job/Internship

Amazon is hiring an Associate Corporate Counsel with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience to join their office in Bengaluru on a fixed 3-year term. The role involves providing legal advisory and contract management support to various Amazon businesses in India.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing legal counselling and advice on intellectual property, digital media, e-commerce marketplace, company secretarial, and regulatory compliance.
• Resolve issues in existing commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation matters.
• Draft and negotiate procurement contracts, master service agreements, sales and advertising agreements, and NDAs.
• Review business program constructs and refine terms and conditions for various initiatives.
• Review and approve promotional artwork and advertisements across print and digital media.
• Analyse business processes, understand requirements, and draft contract scopes.
• Communicate effectively across teams and collaborate on complex legal and business issues.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognised university in India.
• Minimum 3 years of legal experience.
• Associate Member (ACS) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) with valid membership.
• Experience as a practising lawyer or in-house counsel with responsibility for advisory, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating standard commercial contracts.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in both corporate law firm and in-house environments is preferred.

Salary/Stipend
