Details of the Job/Internship

Amazon Finance India Private Limited is hiring an Associate Corporate Counsel with experience of 3–5 years to join their office in Bengaluru. This fixed-term role of three years involves partnering with cross-functional legal and business teams to provide legal advisory across privacy, data protection, technology law, corporate secretarial compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, and management of ongoing privacy initiatives in coordination with internal and global teams.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal counselling across data privacy, technology law, company secretarial, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Support development, review, and maintenance of privacy arrangements including data sharing agreements, policies, notices, consent frameworks, and SOPs.
• Monitor regulatory developments in data protection and assess business impact.
• Advise on privacy and data protection aspects of new products, features, and initiatives.
• Manage projects and documentation for ongoing privacy initiatives with cross-functional coordination.
• Analyse business processes, understand requirements, and draft contract scopes.
• Collaborate with business, product, technology, and legal teams on complex issues.
• Exercise strong legal and business judgment with effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognised university in India.
• 3+ years of legal experience.
• Associate Member (ACS) with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India with valid membership.
• Experience in privacy and data protection implementation, technology law, and legal advisory.
• Preferred experience across corporate law firm and in-house roles and work with financial services partners.
