Amazon is hiring an Associate Corporate Counsel with 5+ years of litigation experience to join their office in Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Managing and supervising civil, labour, and criminal litigation across courts, tribunals, and authorities across India.
- Reviewing cases to analyze facts and applicable laws.
- Tracking litigation timelines and ensuring compliance with court directions.
- Drafting, reviewing, and vetting pleadings, affidavits, submissions, applications, and legal notices.
- Preparing briefing materials and instructions for external counsel.
- Coordinating with and managing external advocates, law firms, and consultants.
- Representing the company before courts, tribunals, regulators, and quasi-judicial authorities where permitted.
- Supporting hearings, trials, settlement negotiations, mediation, and arbitration.
- Providing legal advice to business, HR, and operations teams on litigation risks and dispute avoidance.
- Assisting in internal investigations and responses to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions.
- Fulfilling company secretarial compliances and responsibilities.
Eligibility
- 5+ years of litigation experience.
- Experience in a mix of corporate law firm and in-house roles.
- Company Secretary and LL.B/LL.M from a recognized university.
- Prior litigation experience before courts and tribunals will be preferred.
