Details of the Job/Internship
Amazon is hiring an Associate Corporate Counsel with a minimum of 3 years of legal experience to join their Amazon Studios legal team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, structure, and negotiate agreements including rights acquisition, talent contracts, and production services.
- Review and analyze chain-of-title and resolve complex rights issues.
- Evaluate legal risks such as defamation, privacy, and IP claims.
- Ensure production compliance with laws regarding guilds, labor, safety, immigration, and tax incentives.
- Collaborate with internal teams including creative, production, business affairs, and marketing.
- Develop and refine templates, workflows, and legal policies.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree with at least 3 years of legal experience.
- Prior work experience in private practice or in-house at a technology or entertainment company.
- Preferred: Mixed background of law firm and in-house experience.
Salary/Stipend
