Details of the Job/Internship
Google is hiring an Associate, Corporate Counsel with experience of 3 to 7 years to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements relating to all aspects of Google Cloud in India and West Asia. Create and manage business templates. Engage with business stakeholders on efficiency and training initiatives.
- Conduct legal reviews of Google’s product, marketing, and business initiatives and work in consultation with Google’s government affairs representatives to provide solution-oriented practical advice to facilitate launches and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws across all aspects of Google’s operations in the region, oversee litigation matters, liaise with regulators and authorities, and manage regulatory inquiries relating to Google’s products and operations in the region.
- Respond to a wide range of legal requests from Business, Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Finance, and other functional groups.
Eligibility
Minimum qualifications:
- JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
Preferred qualifications:
- 7 years of experience as a lawyer working on commercial transactions.
- Knowledge of privacy, consumer protection, antitrust, contract, content. moderation/safety, or IP law issues in a technology context.
