Details of the Job/Internship
MYCPE ONE is hiring a Legal Associate to support international arbitration, dispute resolution, and litigation matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- International Arbitration:
- Assist in international commercial and investment arbitration matters under ICC, SIAC, LCIA, UNCITRAL, or similar rules.
- Draft pleadings, statements of claim and defence, witness statements, and submissions.
- Conduct research on substantive and procedural issues.
- Support arbitration hearings through preparation of briefs, exhibits, and hearing bundles.
- Dispute Resolution & Litigation:
- Assist in civil and commercial litigation before courts and tribunals.
- Draft legal notices, pleadings, applications, written submissions, and settlement documents.
- Support case strategy analysis and assist senior counsel during hearings and trials.
- Track case timelines, filings, and procedural compliance.
- Client & Case Management:
- Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, tribunals, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain case files, manage deadlines, and coordinate with internal teams.
- Assist in negotiation, mediation, and settlement discussions.
- Research & Knowledge Support:
- Conduct in-depth research on treaties, statutes, case law, and procedural rules.
- Monitor legal developments in arbitration and dispute resolution.
- Assist in preparation of legal opinions, articles, and client updates.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or JD from a recognised university.
- Enrolment with the relevant Bar Council, where applicable.
- Proven experience in international arbitration and dispute resolution.
- Strong drafting, research, analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet tight deadlines.
Salary/Stipend
