Wipro is hiring an Associate Corporate Counsel for India Disputes & Litigation in Bengaluru. The role involves end-to-end management of legal disputes in India, including litigation, arbitration, and execution of judgments, across IT projects, governmental contracts, real estate, and regulatory matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle legal disputes in India from demand letter to trial, arbitration, appeal, and execution of judgment.
- Counsel business and stakeholders on dispute management best practices.
- Compile case files, contracts, and documentary evidence.
- Draft, review, and finalize pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
- Coordinate and attend hearings, trials, arbitrations, and settlement meetings.
- Maintain case management databases.
- Obtain company and court documents.
- Supervise outside attorneys, law firms, and brief senior advocates.
- Conduct all facets of litigation, including pre-dispute investigation and drafting legal responses.
- Provide practical legal advice and support to business leaders.
- Travel across India as required to attend matters.
Eligibility
- Law graduate with 4–5 years of commercial litigation experience in India.
- Minimum 3 years with a law firm; at least 1 year with a top law firm or in an MNC legal department preferred.
- Experience litigating before Karnataka High Court, District Courts, NCLT, NCLAT, and other tribunals.
- Experience with commercial arbitration.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
