Details of the Job/Internship

Arethalegal is hiring for the position of Associate - Corporate Lawyer with 0-3 years of experience to join their office in Kochi. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting & Advisory: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, employment agreements, cross-border instruments, and regulatory filings.
• Corporate Compliance: Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, including corporate governance, structuring, and secretarial filings.
• IBC Matters: Assist in insolvency and bankruptcy matters involving operational and financial creditors—both advisory and litigation.
• Contract Lifecycle Management: Support clients in managing contracts related to procurement, vendors, IP, services, and technology.
• Investment Transactions: Contribute to deal structuring, due diligence, drafting of term sheets and closing documents, and post-deal compliance for venture capital, private equity, and strategic investments.
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution: Represent clients before the NCLT and other forums on matters under the Companies Act, IBC, and related commercial statutes.
• Labour & Employment: Advise on employment law compliance and draft workplace policies and internal documentation.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognized law school.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates with substantial internships are encouraged to apply).
• Excellent legal research and drafting skills.
• Strong understanding of corporate and commercial laws.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Stipend
