Details of the Job/Internship
The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is hiring an Associate Counsel – Legal with 6–7 years of experience to join their Hyderabad office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on corporate and operational matters.
- Ensure compliance with Indian laws and regulatory requirements.
- Review and draft commercial contracts including NDAs, service and vendor agreements.
- Manage USP’s India Contract Management System (CMS) and maintain contract databases.
- Support litigation, liaise with external law firms, and provide strategic legal support.
- Conduct legal research, prepare filings, and assist in policy compliance and risk management.
Eligibility
- B.A. LL.B. (Hons) or Bachelor’s degree in law; Master’s in law preferred.
- 6–7 years of relevant legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of contract drafting, negotiation, and compliance.
- Excellent research, interpretation, and analytical skills.
- Experience in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and contract lifecycle management preferred.
