Details of the Job/Internship
Locus is hiring an Associate Director - Legal with 6–7 years of experience to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate regulatory and transactional documents and commercial contracts.
- Advise internal teams on legal issues, risk analysis, and solutions aligned with business goals.
- Monitor legal and data privacy regulations in operational geographies.
- Serve as a liaison with government authorities and external counsel.
- Collaborate with the CPO and product team to file patent applications.
- Provide legal support across departments, including compliance and brand protection.
- Handle trademark registration, corporate governance, and dispute resolution.
- Partner with HR for employee governance.
- Experience in corporate restructuring is a plus.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Law.
- 3–4 years of experience in a law firm and 2–3 years in IT/SaaS B2B.
- Experience with U.S.-based B2B startups is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Companies Act and U.S. corporate laws.
- 5–6 years of experience in contract negotiation with enterprise clients.
- Familiarity with global litigation and IP filing procedures.
