Details of the Job/Internship
Cyient is hiring an Associate Director – Legal & Compliance with 10+ years of post-qualification experience to join their Hyderabad office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts including service, vendor, partnership, and reseller agreements.
- Managing in-house compliance programs for the assigned territory.
- Supervising and mentoring junior legal counsels.
- Drafting and implementing legal policies and procedures.
- Advising on new business models and associated legal risks.
- Analysing legal and commercial risks and providing clear recommendations.
- Managing disputes, litigation, and external counsel engagements.
- Collaborating with internal teams including Operations, HR, Finance, Risk, and IT Security.
Eligibility
- 10+ years of post-qualification general corporate legal experience.
- Strong experience in commercial contract negotiations, HR and employment matters, compliance, disputes, and M&A.
- Ability to manage teams and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills and a global outlook.
- In-house legal experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Interest in technology, outsourced engineering services, and data privacy.
