Details of the Job/Internship

IQVIA India is hiring for the position of Associate Director - Legal Associate Director - Legal with 5+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

1. International Commercial Contracting

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including technology and data licensing, consulting services, MSAs, collaboration agreements, and data processing agreements.
• Ensure legal alignment with global standards and business objectives.

2. Legal Advisory & Compliance

• Provide actionable legal guidance across data privacy, intellectual property, competition law, and regulatory compliance.
• Identify legal risks and propose effective mitigation strategies, especially in the context of EU laws and international frameworks.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with internal teams and senior leadership to resolve legal issues and facilitate strategic initiatives.
• Maintain professional relationships with external counsel, regulatory authorities, and industry bodies.

4. Public Tender Support

• Provide legal oversight on tender documentation and compliance with internal protocols for public procurement processes.

5. M&A Legal Integration

• Assist in legal due diligence and transaction documentation for corporate acquisitions.
• Lead post-merger integration efforts, aligning acquired entities with IQVIA’s commercial contracting processes.

6. Dispute Resolution

• Handle vendor and customer disputes efficiently and cost-effectively, ensuring favorable resolutions aligned with business interests.

7. Legal Operations & Optimization

• Drive process improvement and legal operations initiatives, including development of templates, playbooks, and automation tools.

8. Legal Training & Knowledge Management

• Design and deliver legal training sessions for business units.
• Promote best practices and legal awareness throughout the organization.

Eligibility

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law; licensure to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction is required.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience, including at least 3 years in private practice. Prior experience in an international in-house role is strongly preferred.
• Language: Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
• Industry Background: Experience in the technology or life sciences sector is highly desirable.
