Details of the Job/Internship
Zupee is hiring for an Associate Director Legal with 8+ Years of experience to work at their Gurugram Office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the legal function; ensuring regulatory compliance; providing legal support and undertaking legal action to protect the interests of the organization.
- Will be responsible for providing strategic legal advice on new business ideas/plans, managing critical strategic litigations, and handling any M&A and Joint Venture/partnership activities proposed for inorganic growth and diversification.
- Will be directly responsible for overseeing and devising the strategy for application, protection, and management of IPR and Trademarks of the company.
- Extensive coordination with internal and external stakeholders including advocates, Sr. Advocates, law firms, and government agencies, LEAs in strategizing and responding to legal notices, draft pleading, petitions, appeals, and others.
- Responsible for developing and implementing legal procedures and policies to ensure the company's compliance with applicable laws.
- To work closely with key stakeholders on legal implications and risks involved with potential transactions such as mergers, demergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, shareholders agreements, business transfer arrangements and corporate contracts and related documentation.
- Drafting/ vetting and streamlining legal documents & Agreements such as – Escrow, MoU, Master Service Agreement, Digital Vendor Agreements, and other government contracts/ letters.
- Working knowledge on corporate issues related to key statutory authorities including but not limited to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Corporate Affairs, Registrar of Companies, Competition Law, Criminal Laws, Tax Laws, FEMA and PMLA, etc.
- Advise and engage with internal teams and law firms on transaction-specific legal matters and obtaining legal opinions.
Eligibility
Qualifications:
- LLB from a premier institute & CS Member of the Indian Bar Counsel is desirable
- Minimum 8+ Years of strong experience in the legal domain with a leading corporation along with a deep understanding of corporate and commercial law
Expertise:
- Experience working with large, complex business houses and knowledge of fintech, IPR, and TM laws.
- Demonstrate a clear and concise thought process, which is logical and innovative at the same time.
- Knowledge of and experience in ensuring adherence to all statutory and regulatory compliances pertaining to any business.
- Strong network with lawyers all throughout India with expertise in handling LEAs.

- Experience in handling a team with good communication and negotiation skills
