Details of the Job/Internship

AB InBev India is hiring an Associate Director – Taxation to join its Finance team in Bangalore.

Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation, review, and filing of income tax, GST, TDS, and excise duty returns and statutory reports.
• Manage advance tax computations and ensure timely regulatory compliance.
• Lead and mentor the taxation team, distribute work, and support audits and assessments.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities.
• Represent the organisation in tax proceedings, appeals, and excise-related matters.
• Develop tax planning strategies, risk assessments, and internal tax policies.
• Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws, including Income Tax Act, GST laws, FEMA, DTAA, and excise regulations.
• Conduct tax audits and reconciliations, including excise duty records and payments.
• Prepare technical reports on tax implications and advisory matters.
• Stay updated on tax law changes and provide advisory support to senior leadership.

Eligibility

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in taxation.
• Chartered Accountant qualification from ICAI is preferred but not mandatory.
• At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in direct and indirect taxation in India.
• Proven experience in excise duty compliance and team handling.
• Strong expertise in income tax, GST, TDS, withholding tax, transfer pricing, and statutory filings.
• Excellent knowledge of Indian tax laws and recent amendments.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, tax software, ERP systems such as SAP, and data analysis.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• High energy, proactive approach, adaptability, and resilience.
