Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan is hiring an Associate for Economic Offences/White Collar Crime at its Delhi office. The role involves providing legal advisory, handling litigation, conducting research, assisting in due diligence, preparing documentation, and managing client relationships.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on matters related to PMLA, FEMA, Benami law, FCRA, Black Money Law, and other financial laws.
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including drafting pleadings, petitions, appeals, and appearing in courts and tribunals.
- Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in economic and financial laws.
- Assist in due diligence exercises for financial transactions to ensure compliance.
- Prepare and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent legal services and advice.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including senior professionals, as part of a team.
Eligibility
- Law graduate from a recognized law school with a strong academic track record.
- 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in economic offences and financial law.
- Prior experience in litigation and advisory work related to PMLA, FEMA, Benami law, FCRA, Black Money law is preferred.
