Details of the Job/Internship
Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring for the position of Assistant General Counsel with a PQE of 7-10 years to join its office in Ahmedabad. The candidate has to support Micron's plans to build a new assembly and test facility in Gujarat, India, and will be reported to their Director, of Commercial Transactions.
Role and Responsibilities
The candidate will have to:
- Draft, negotiate, and process high volumes of procurement contracts, including supply/purchase agreements, services agreements, engineering agreements, and other related buy-side agreements and documentation.
- Serve as an India-based resource supporting Micron’s business and procurement teams in connection with Micron’s new assembly and test facility.
- Help drive implementation of legal efficiencies to support and improve contract processes and operations, including developing best-in-class templates and negotiation playbooks.
- Represent Micron legally in commercial interactions and disputes with suppliers, while balancing the business interests of clients with the ultimate fiduciary responsibility to the company.
- Provide advice and guidance to internal teams regarding business legal issues and risks.
Eligibility
These requirements must be fulfilled:
- Bachelor of Laws (5 years) and LLM degree from a renowned institution, with excellent academic credentials.
- Must have a PQE of 7-10 years in the practice of commercial and contract law, especially in drafting and negotiating high volumes of procurement agreements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to collaborate, and demonstrate diplomacy.
- Interaction with colleagues and management.
- Highly disciplined in making independent decisions and working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong work ethic and ability to handle and advance multiple projects in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Candidate must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Ahmedabad, India.
