Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate in Indirect Tax Advisory with 0–3 years of post-qualification experience to join its Hyderabad office. The role involves legal research and analysis, drafting of advisory opinions and compliance reports, client data analysis, handling indirect tax matters, and supporting client service delivery in advisory and litigation-related work.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions.
• Drafting advisory notes, opinions, and compliance reports.
• Preparing presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars.
• Analysing client data to estimate tax impact and develop tax-efficient business models.
• Contributing to articles, monographs, and knowledge materials.
• Handling indirect tax matters, including preparation of submissions, replies, appeals, and representations before tax authorities with seniors.
• Managing work across multiple clients and independently handling smaller clients.
• Developing client relationships and engaging with middle management.
• Staying updated on legal developments, circulars, notifications, and judicial decisions.
• Contributing to knowledge management, internal networking, and identification of client opportunities.

Eligibility

• CA or law graduate from a recognised law school with a strong academic record.
• 0–3 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax, including GST and/or customs.
• Strong analytical, research, drafting, and communication skills.
• Proactive approach with attention to detail.

Salary/Stipend
