Details of the Job/Internship

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate in Indirect Tax Advisory with 0-3 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions.
• Draft advises, opinions, and compliance reports.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, trainings, and seminars.
• Analyze client data to estimate tax impact on business transactions.
• Build scenarios to identify tax-efficient business models.
• Contribute articles, monographs, and knowledge management resources.
• Handle tax matters, including submissions, replies to notices, appeals, and representation before tax authorities along with seniors.
• Manage execution of work for multiple clients, assuming near-independent responsibility for smaller clients.
• Develop rapport with middle-level client management.
• Stay updated on firm-wide and competitor activities, business trends, and latest tax/legal developments.
• Identify opportunities with existing clients and share with managers.
• Network internally to understand client-impacting issues.

Eligibility

• CA or Law Graduate from a reputed law school with a strong academic track record.
• 0-3 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax litigation or advisory.
• Prior experience in GST and/or customs preferred.
• Excellent communication and drafting skills.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented.

Salary/Stipend
