Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate in its Indirect Tax Advisory team with 1-2 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves research, drafting of opinions, analysis of client data, preparation of reports, and representation in tax matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of legal provisions.
- Draft advises, opinions, compliance reports, and submissions.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentations for client meetings, training, and seminars.
- Analyze client data to assess tax impact and build scenarios for efficient tax models.
- Handle tax matters including replies to notices, appeals, and representation before authorities.
- Develop rapport with clients and contribute articles, monographs, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Stay updated with latest tax and legal developments.
- Identify opportunities for clients and support business development initiatives.
Eligibility
- CA or Law Graduate from a reputed law school with strong academics.
- 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect Tax litigation or advisory.
- Prior experience in GST and/or Customs preferred.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented.
