Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan is hiring an Associate – Indirect Tax Litigation for its Ahmedabad office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist clients in responding to enquiries, investigations, and audits.
- Prepare replies to show cause notices and audit queries.
- Attend hearings with tax officers as required.
- Draft tax appeals for Joint Commissioner (Appeals), Tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court.
- Assist seniors in representation before judicial forums.
- Conduct comprehensive legal and tax research.
- Prepare submissions, replies, and documentation for tax matters.
- Handle multiple client assignments and smaller clients independently.
- Develop client relationships and communicate technical issues effectively.
- Stay updated on legal and tax developments and contribute to knowledge management.
Eligibility
- Qualified CA or LL.B.
- 0–2 years of experience in indirect tax (GST, Customs, etc.) preferred.
- Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and interact with clients.
- Awareness of current developments in tax laws.
