Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate – Indirect Tax Litigation with experience of 2–3 years to join their team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle tax matters, including preparation of submissions, replies, and appeals.
- Assist clients during enquiries, investigations, and audits.
- Draft replies to show cause notices and audit communications.
- Attend hearings and interact with tax authorities.
- Prepare appeals for Joint Commissioner, tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court.
- Assist seniors in representation before judicial forums.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research on tax-related issues.
- Identify and discuss technical issues with clients.
- Manage multiple client assignments independently for smaller matters.
- Stay updated on legal developments and contribute to knowledge management.
Eligibility
- Law graduate from a recognized law school with a strong academic record.
- 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax (GST, customs, etc.).
- Excellent communication and drafting skills.
- Strong analytical and research abilities.
- Proactive approach with attention to detail.
