Details of the Job/Internship
Metalegal Advocates is hiring an Associate – Insolvency & Bankruptcy with experience of 1–2 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft petitions, applications, replies, rejoinders, and written submissions under IBC.
- Assist in proceedings before NCLT and NCLAT.
- Conduct legal research on insolvency, restructuring, and corporate law issues.
- Support CIRP and liquidation processes.
- Prepare legal opinions, advisory notes, and case summaries.
- Brief senior counsel and assist in preparation of arguments.
- Liaise with Resolution Professionals, clients, and internal teams.
- Manage case documentation, filings, and procedural compliances.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognised university and enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
- 1–2 years of post-qualification experience in IBC / NCLT litigation.
- Strong legal drafting and research skills.
- Sound understanding of IBC, Companies Act, and NCLT procedures.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office and legal research databases.
