Details of the Job/Internship

Water & Shark Legal is hiring an Associate – International Legal Services with 2–4 years of experience to join their Ahmedabad office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth legal research on international estate planning, asset protection, and wealth structuring, with a focus on international laws, particularly U.S. law.
• Analysing and interpreting corporate laws and their interaction with trusts, foundations, and estate planning structures.
• Assisting in designing and reviewing cross-border corporate and trust structures.
• Preparing research notes, legal memorandums, opinions, and comparative analyses.
• Drafting and reviewing documentation related to trusts, estate planning instruments, corporate entities, and holding structures.
• Preparing client-facing content, presentations, and research publications.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Staying updated on relevant legal and regulatory changes.
• Advising on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborating with internal teams, external counsel, and business partners.
• Supporting transactional work through legal research and strategic advice.
• Monitoring industry trends to provide proactive legal solutions.

Eligibility

• LL.B. or LL.M. degree from a recognised university.
• 2–4 years of post-qualification experience in private client practice or corporate transactional work.
• Strong understanding of estate planning and succession, corporate law, or foreign exchange transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary/Stipend
