Details of the Job/Internship

Trilegal is hiring an Associate with experience of 1–3 years to join their Labour and Employment Law practice in Mumbai. The practice advises clients across sectors on employment disputes, policy decisions, compliance matters, and evolving legislative requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Advise on employee compensation and benefits and structuring remuneration and retention policies.
• Assist with compliance relating to social security laws, leave entitlements, and wage and hour regulations.
• Support matters relating to senior management hiring and exits, workforce reorganisations, and business closures.
• Assist with due diligence and employee transfers in business acquisitions.
• Draft and structure employment contracts and engagement models.
• Handle arrangements relating to contract workers and contingent workforce.
• Prepare separation and exit documentation, restrictive covenants, employee handbooks, and workplace policies.
• Assist with statutory and workplace training programmes.
• Support disciplinary matters, trade union disputes, and settlements.
• Assist with representation before provident fund and other regulatory authorities and handle immigration-related matters.
• Participate in labour audits and assist in conducting disciplinary inquiries and white-collar employee investigations.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer enrolled with the Bar Council of India.
• 1–3 years of experience in employment law practice.
