Details of the Job/Internship
Legodesk is hiring an Associate Lawyer (Litigation) to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- To handle Recovery related cases and to initiate legal action for all such cases;
- Should have the ability to lead and coordinate with Advocates and Recovery Team;
- Drafting and issuance of legal notices, counter replies, filing of plants, applications, and petitions before various Courts for recovering the Bank's dues;
- Regular enactment upon various provisions of Civil, Criminal, DRT, SARFAESI, IBC, etc;
- Coordination with all Panel Lawyers to ensure Timely Filing of Legal Cases against Borrower and Guarantors and timely follow-up and attendance at each hearing;
- Execution and Service of Different Types of Warrants and Liaison with Law Enforcement agencies like Police/Administration and Judiciary for representation of Bank;
- Pursuing formalities for taking Possession and to Auction it under the SARFAESI Act;
- Attending COC Meeting, NCLT/NCLAT hearing;
- To represent the bank before various courts in conducting legal cases and to save the interest of the bank in all respects;
- Lodging of criminal complaints before the Police station and all consumer cases if filed against the bank;
- Execution before courts for early resolution of the accounts and achieve given targets in recovery;
- Maintenance and periodic updating of different types of MIS reporting in close follow-up of Team Members;
- Highlighting the legal risk & has to be updated with the latest legal developments.
Eligibility
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent.
- Proven experience in handling litigation cases and court representation.
- Registration in Karnataka State Bar Council.
- Proficient in English and Kannada (oral and written skills)
- Should have his/her vehicle to travel within the city.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Salary/Stipend
