Details of the Job/Internship
Economic Laws Practice is hiring an Associate Lawyer with 3–4 years of experience in the direct tax advisory practice area to join its office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- International tax advisory with focus on cross-border tax/withholding tax, domestic tax, and FEMA regulatory issues.
- Inbound and outbound structuring.
- Treaty interpretations.
- Structuring of revenue/capital flows such as dividend, royalty, and fees for technical services.
- Formulating strategies for mitigating the risk of Permanent Establishment (PE) exposure of foreign corporations.
- Tax due diligence, transaction structuring and documentation.
- Transfer pricing advisory, documentation and other compliances.
- Domestic tax advisory.
- Tax compliance and dispute assistance (litigation support).

Eligibility
- CA – Mandatory.
- LLB – Preferred but not mandatory.
