Details of the Job/Internship
Sonia and Partners is hiring an Associate Lawyer with 3+ years of experience to join their on-site litigation team in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients in criminal and family court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and High Court matters.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and develop case strategies.
- Draft and review pleadings, affidavits, legal notices, petitions, and other case documents.
- Manage client meetings, offer legal advice, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work closely with the legal team for effective case preparation and representation.
- Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and firm values.
Eligibility
- Minimum 3+ years of litigation experience in Criminal Defense and Family Law, including Divorce, Domestic Violence, 498A, and Child Custody.
- Strong drafting, research, documentation, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple cases, meet deadlines, and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- LLB degree with active Bar Council of India enrollment.
- Prior litigation experience in Bengaluru courts is an added advantage.
