Details of the Job/Internship

Ather Energy is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel with 4–7 years of experience to join its Corporate Legal Team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements specifically related to manufacturing activities.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice on corporate law, competition, privacy, employment, real estate, and consumer protection.
• Advise on government policies and initiatives specific to Electric Vehicles (EVs) and motor vehicle regulations in India.
• Implement company policies and legal SOPs to ensure strict compliance with Indian laws.
• Manage litigation matters and supervise the performance of external solicitors and counsels.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks through strategic management action plans.
• Support new business development initiatives and contribute an "outside-in" perspective to the legal function.

Eligibility

• LLB or LLM from a reputed premier university.
• 4–7 years of post-qualification experience in reputed corporations or law firms.
• Strong industry background: Proven experience in the automotive or manufacturing sectors is required.
• Expertise in corporate laws, statutory compliance, and Labor laws.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A proactive, pragmatic, and solution-oriented mindset.
