Details of the Job/Internship
DISCO is hiring a Legal Counsel – Contracts & Compliance with experience of 4+ years to join their team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor, procurement, client, and partnership contracts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across India, the US, the UK, and Canada.
- Assist in identifying legal risks and developing mitigation strategies.
- Support general corporate work, including entity management and governance documentation.
- Maintain contract management databases and oversee renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Provide legal guidance on corporate matters and improve legal processes using technology tools.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operations teams for contract execution.
- Support senior legal team members in managing external counsel and vendor relationships.
Eligibility
- B.A., LL.B. from a recognized university; LL.M. preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in a multinational legal environment.
- Expertise in contract management and corporate legal matters.
- Experience in compliance with Indian laws, including labour, employment, and privacy laws.
- Strong understanding of software and technology contracting is preferred.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office tools.
