Details of the Job/Internship

MoEngage is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel for its Bengaluru office. The role requires 2-3 years of experience in commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation.

Role and Responsibilities

•  Commercial Agreement Drafting and Negotiation:
  •  Draft and negotiate commercial agreements.
  •  Structure, draft, and negotiate various commercial agreements with customers, vendors, service providers and handle subsequent amendments or renewals.
• Contract Review and Analysis:
  • Review, interpret, and analyze agreements to advise internal teams on their rights and responsibilities concerning those agreements.
  • Ensure that all agreements align with the business model and internal policies.
• Legal Advice and Research:
  • Provide routine legal advice to business and operations units.
  • Conduct legal research on various topics and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
• Contract Database Management:
  •  Maintain the contract database, including sending renewal reminders and processing any renewal or amendment requests as received.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in law (LLB).
• 2 to 3 years of experience in commercial contract drafting review and negotiation.
• Candidates with prior experience in contracts in in-house teams will be given preference.
• Good understanding of contracting/risk issues, including IP, as they apply to the SAAS industry
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
