Details of the Job/Internship
Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel with 3–6 years of experience to join their in-house legal team in Dubai. The role involves handling a broad range of legal matters across diverse business units, including automotive, trading, construction, aviation, real estate, and services.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supply, procurement, distribution, agency, leasing, services, joint ventures, MOUs, and partnership agreements.
- Advise business units on risks, liabilities, and practical contract solutions.
- Ensure contractual alignment with UAE laws and Group policies.
- Assist with corporate governance, board resolutions, powers of attorney, and secretarial tasks.
- Support compliance with corporate and sector-specific regulations.
- Review HR policies, codes of conduct, and compliance frameworks.
- Contribute to anti-bribery, anti-corruption, whistleblowing, and governance initiatives.
- Support disputes with suppliers, customers, and contractors, including demand letters, claims, and litigation/arbitration coordination.
- Manage enforcement of bank guarantees, penalties, and indemnities.
- Review and advise on strategic project agreements, including aviation representation, construction subcontracting, IT/cybersecurity contracts, and real estate leasing disputes.
Eligibility
- Law degree from a recognized university.
- 3–6 years PQE with exposure to corporate and commercial law.
- Mix of law firm and in-house experience desirable.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Solid understanding of commercial, corporate, and labor laws.
- Ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and commercially minded.
