Details of the Job/Internship
Swiss Re is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel with experience of 10–13 years to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for Swiss Re’s business activities.
- Monitor and analyse regulatory developments affecting business operations in India.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for re/insurance contracts and claims.
- Assist in compliance matters and deliver compliance training for India.
- Manage governance and corporate filings, and liaise with statutory authorities.
- Draft and review contracts and legal documents.
- Provide legal advice on employee-related matters.
- Support regional initiatives within the APAC Legal & Compliance team.
Eligibility
- India-qualified lawyer with 10–13 years of post-qualification experience.
- Bar Council registration preferred.
- Prior experience with a re/insurance company and courts in India will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Good cross-cultural understanding.
