Details of the Job/Internship
Swiss Re is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel (Assistant Vice President) with 10–13 years of experience to join their legal team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for Swiss Re’s business activities.
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and analyze their impact.
- Ensure compliance for re/insurance contracts and claims in India.
- Assist with compliance matters and training.
- Handle governance matters.
- Draft and review contracts and legal documents.
- Provide legal support on corporate filings and interaction with statutory authorities.
- Advise on employee-related matters.
- Support regional initiatives as part of the APAC Legal & Compliance team.
Eligibility
- India-qualified lawyer with 10–13 years of post-qualification experience.
- Bar Council registration preferred.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams and jurisdictions.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Good communication and cross-cultural skills.
- Prior experience with a re/insurance company and courts in India is an advantage.
