Details of the Job/Internship
Swiss Re is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel with 3–5 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support internal clients by providing timely legal advice to the Group Digital and Technology Office on new technologies.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing technology agreements, including cloud solutions, software licenses, and data agreements.
- Research and analyze regulatory issues related to technology implementations and outsourcing.
- Monitor and report on relevant legal developments in technology, data, and security fields.
- Help identify potential risks through legal research, particularly regarding data usage and basic intellectual property.
- Contribute to the development of internal guidelines and procedures for new digital initiatives.
- Prepare materials for training sessions on legal risks with a focus on innovation.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel under supervision as needed.
Eligibility
- Qualified lawyer with 3–5 years of experience in legal practice.
- Basic understanding of technology agreements and data privacy regulations.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly.
- Interest in regulatory frameworks affecting technology implementation.
- Familiarity with the insurance/reinsurance industry or IT law is a preferred "nice to have".
- Exposure to digital transformation, innovation projects, or multicultural environments is an advantage.
