Details of the Job/Internship
Swiss Re is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel with 8–12 years of post-qualification experience to join their office in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support relating to business activities of Swiss Re.
- Handle governance matters.
- Provide legal support and advice on corporate filings and interactions with statutory authorities.
- Provide legal support and advice on employee-related matters.
- Draft and review various contracts, petitions, legal notices, and other legal documents.
- Support internal investigations, manage litigation, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including law firms, auditors, and consultants.
- Monitor regulatory developments and analyse their impact on Swiss Re’s business in India.
- Support regional initiatives as part of the APAC Legal & Compliance team.
Eligibility
- 8–12 years of post-qualification experience.
- India-qualified lawyer, preferably registered with the Bar Council.
- Prior experience in handling employee litigation and labour law matters.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across functions and jurisdictions.
- Excellent written and spoken English and preferably local language.
- Strong communication and cross-cultural skills.
