Details of the Job/Internship

Swiss Re is hiring for the position of Associate Legal Counsel with 8-12 years of experience to join their office in Hyderabad. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support on day-to-day business operations of Swiss Re India, including corporate and governance matters.
• Manage statutory filings, regulatory interactions, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including contracts, legal notices, petitions, and internal documentation.
• Advise on employment-related legal issues and support employee litigation and labour law compliance.
• Oversee and manage internal investigations and coordinate external legal counsel, auditors, and other advisors.
• Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on Swiss Re’s operations in India.
• Contribute to regional projects and collaborate with legal and compliance teams across APAC.

Eligibility

• India-qualified lawyer with 8–12 years of post-qualification experience (Bar Council registration preferred).
• Strong experience in general corporate law, compliance, and employment matters.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
• Comfortable working independently and across teams and jurisdictions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of local language is an advantage.
• Experience in handling labour law matters and employee-related litigation is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Salary/Stipend
