Details of the Job/Internship
Swiss Re is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel (Assistant Vice President) with 10-13 years of PQE to provide legal support to their operations in Mumbai, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for Swiss Re’s business activities in India.
- Stay updated on regulatory developments and analyze their impact on the business.
- Assist with regulatory compliance for reinsurance contracts and claims.
- Provide legal support on corporate matters and employee-related issues.
- Draft and review contracts and legal documents.
- Handle governance matters and interact with statutory authorities.
- Support compliance training for India operations.
- Contribute to regional initiatives as part of the APAC Legal & Compliance team.
Eligibility
- 10-13 years of PQE.
- India-qualified lawyer, preferably with Bar Council registration.
- Prior experience with a Re/Insurance company and courts in India is an advantage.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong communication and cross-cultural skills.
