Details of the Job/Internship

Vivriti Asset Management is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel in Mumbai. The role involves legal structuring of transactions and relationships, providing timely legal advice, and supporting internal stakeholders. The team also manages corporate legal support activities, including delivering legal opinions and advice on organizational transactions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence from a lender’s perspective, review key contracts, borrowing documents, and title search reports.
• Conduct research on MCA portal for filings related to charges and security creation.
• Articulate legal risks and prepare summary diligence reports.
• Draft and negotiate debenture issue documentation and structured credit instruments with issuers.
• Draft security creation documentation and provide advice.
• Keep abreast of legal and regulatory changes and ensure compliance.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer with 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or legal department of an asset management company, NBFC, or bank.
• Working knowledge of Alternative Investment Funds.
• Understanding of credit products, loans, and debentures.
• Good research and interaction skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
