YourTribe is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel with 2–4 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. This role involves end-to-end ownership of legal work across client negotiations, IP protection, risk management, and data privacy compliance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, negotiate, and vet commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, data sharing, MSAs, and NDAs.
- Support compliance with data protection laws, including DPDP, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Contribute to internal compliance, IP protection, and risk management frameworks.
- Liaise with external counsels, partners, and regulators as required.
- Stay updated on evolving legal and regulatory landscapes and inform internal stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and maintaining internal legal processes and templates.
- Provide strategic legal inputs during product development and client onboarding.
Eligibility
- LL.B. required. LL.M. or certifications in data privacy/fintech are a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel (TMT, fintech, or general corporate).
- Strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation.
- Understanding of software licensing, technology transfers, and data privacy.
- Clear and confident communication skills with the ability to simplify legal concepts for non-legal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters autonomously.
