YourTribe is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel with 2–4 years of relevant experience to join its office in Bengaluru. This role involves end-to-end ownership of legal processes, covering client negotiations, IP protection, risk management, and data privacy compliance.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, negotiate, and vet commercial agreements (SaaS, licensing, data sharing, MSAs, NDAs, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws (DPDP, GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Contribute to internal compliance, IP protection, and risk management frameworks.
- Liaise with external counsels, partners, and regulators when required.
- Track evolving legal and regulatory landscapes and update internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain internal legal processes and templates.
- Provide strategic legal input during product development and client onboarding.
Eligibility
- LL.B. required; LL.M. or certifications in data privacy/fintech are a plus.
- 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel (TMT, fintech, or general corporate).
- Strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation.
- Understanding of software licensing, technology transfers, and data privacy.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to simplify legal concepts for non-legal teams.
