Details of the Job/Internship
YourTribe is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel with 2–4 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review, draft, negotiate, and vet commercial agreements including SaaS, licensing, data sharing, MSAs, and NDAs.
- Support compliance with DPDP, GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection laws.
- Contribute to compliance, IP protection, and risk management frameworks.
- Coordinate with external counsel, partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Track evolving legal and regulatory updates and advise internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain legal templates, processes, and documentation.
- Provide strategic legal inputs during product development and client onboarding.
Eligibility
- LL.B. required (LL.M. or certifications in data privacy/fintech preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in a law firm or in-house role (TMT, fintech, or general corporate preferred).
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Understanding of software licensing, technology transfers, and data privacy laws.
- Clear communication skills with an ability to simplify legal concepts.
- Ability to manage multiple legal matters independently.
