Details of the Job/Internship
IQVIA is hiring an Associate Legal Director with experience of to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves providing international legal support across diverse business offerings including data licensing, analytics, technology solutions, consulting, clinical research, and laboratory services. Responsibilities include delivering business-oriented legal advice, supporting international contracting, engaging stakeholders, assisting with public tenders and M&A integration, handling disputes, improving legal operations, and contributing to legal training and knowledge dissemination.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide business-oriented legal advice with focus on data privacy, intellectual property, and competition law.
- Identify legal risks and compliance requirements under EU law and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Review, draft, and negotiate international commercial contracts including licensing, services, and data processing agreements.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders and maintain relationships with counsels and regulators.
- Support public tender responses ensuring process compliance.
- Assist in due diligence and post-acquisition contracting integration for corporate transactions.
- Provide legal support in resolving customer and vendor disputes.
- Lead and support legal operations initiatives including process improvements and template development.
- Support development and delivery of legal training and best practices for teams.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law with qualification to practise law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Fluency in English; additional language proficiency preferred.
- Strong background in technology or life sciences sectors.
- Experience in commercial contracting and general legal support, preferably in an international in-house role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial contracting law, regulatory compliance, data privacy, competition law, and related domains.
