Details of the Job/Internship
Unacademy is hiring an Associate, Legal Operation with 1–2 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves managing compliance operations, process optimization, vendor due diligence, piracy monitoring, and contract lifecycle processes. The position requires strong organizational skills, tool management expertise, and a problem-solving mindset to streamline legal workflows, ensure regulatory adherence, and support automation initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
KYC Compliance:
- Assist in verification and validation of stakeholder identification documents.
- Conduct background checks on partners to ensure compliance with KYC policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review stakeholder data for accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records of customer due diligence activities.
Anti-Piracy Efforts:
- Monitor online platforms for piracy activities.
- Investigate and track copyright infringements.
- Support strategies to prevent and combat piracy.
- Report infringing content to relevant authorities.
Contract & Database Management:
- Oversee the centralized contract database.
- Maintain document workflows and support team usage of tools.
- Ensure version control, access management, and audit readiness.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare reports and summaries of KYC and anti-piracy activities.
- Maintain KYC-related policies and guidelines.
- Assist in creating training materials on KYC and anti-piracy best practices.
Tool, Process & Automation Management:
- Manage legal operations tools (CLM, litigation tools, legal chatbots, etc.).
- Identify automation and efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Build and run Excel/Python automations or scripts.
- Train stakeholders on tool usage and implementation.
Vendor Management:
- Manage vendors related to KYC, anti-piracy, and legal operations.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely and accurate service delivery.
- Track vendor performance and prepare reports.
- Support evaluation and selection of new vendors.
Eligibility
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with basic Python or no-code/low-code automation to streamline processes and extract insights.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and Google Sheets.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
