Details of the Job/Internship
Unicorn India Ventures is hiring an Associate – Legal with 3–5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai (Powai).
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, vetting, and negotiating transaction documents, including SSAs, SHAs, and SPAs.
- Collaborating with the investment team on deal structuring to protect commercial interests.
- Managing and overseeing legal due diligence for prospective investments.
- Identifying legal risks and recommending mitigation strategies, including coordination with external law firms.
- Ensuring compliance with SEBI (AIF) Regulations, FEMA, and the Companies Act.
- Handling legal matters for the existing portfolio, including amendments, waivers, and exit documentation.
Eligibility
- LLB or B.A. LL.B from a reputed institution.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in a law firm (PE/VC or general corporate) or in-house role within an investment fund or investment bank.
- Strong understanding of investment laws, contract law, and corporate governance.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
