Details of the Job/Internship
Upstox is hiring an Associate Manager – Legal with 6–10 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle including drafting, review, and negotiation.
- Ensure compliance with SEBI, IRDAI, RBI guidelines, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Oversee contract digitization and streamline legal processes.
- Monitor contract-related risks and conduct legal training.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and SOPs.
- Lead regulatory compliance efforts including AML/KYC and data privacy.
- Manage audits, compliance checks, and policy updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed compliance into operations.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); ICSI membership preferred.
- 6–10 years of legal experience, including 3–5 years in regulatory liaison within BFSI or litigation.
- Exposure to dispute resolution and interactions with enforcement agencies is a plus.
- Strong skills in legal drafting, contract negotiation, audit, and compliance.
- Proactive attitude with excellent communication and leadership skills.
