Details of the Job/Internship
Rapido is hiring an Associate Manager Compliance with experience of 2–3 years to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves managing end-to-end tax compliance, ensuring accurate filing of returns, monitoring legislative changes, supervising tax processes, and supporting management through reporting and compliance controls.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all applicable tax returns including GST, TDS, corporate income tax, and equalization levy.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance calendars.
- Review tax computations, reconciliations, and workings prepared by the team or consultants.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess organisational impact, and implement necessary process updates.
- Conduct routine compliance hygiene checks and circulate technical memoranda summarising findings and recommendations to management.
- Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training and guidance on tax matters.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and filings.
- Maintain documentation supporting tax positions and availment of credits or deductions.
- Provide guidance to team members on implementation of newly notified provisions.
- Prepare and present consolidated reports to senior management on monthly tax compliances.
- Implement checklists and controls to ensure accurate reporting in tax returns and timely reconciliation with books.
Eligibility
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2–3 years of relevant experience in taxation.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Tally and MS Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
