Details of the Job/Internship

GMR Group is hiring an Associate Manager – Legal – 12124 with experience of 7–10 years to join their office in Greater Visakhapatnam Area. The role involves providing legal guidance and support on private and public fund-raising transactions including debt and equity, mergers and acquisitions, divestments, investments, and general transactional advisory while enabling deal execution across the organisation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance on equity capital market transactions including IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, and OFS.
• Support mergers and acquisitions, private equity, investments, and divestments.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and transaction counsels for deal execution.
• Review and negotiate general commercial contracts.
• Prepare deal bibles, conduct due diligence, and undertake research assignments.
• Provide general legal advisory support on legal issues.
• Coordinate with finance and internal teams on fund-raising transactions and special projects.
• Interact with sector legal teams for litigation updates and knowledge sharing.
• Manage one reportee at Assistant Manager level.

Eligibility

• Bachelor of Law.
• Graduation in Arts or Commerce.
• 7–10 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house role with exposure to equity transactions, mergers, divestments, demergers, and acquisitions.
• Knowledge of Companies Act, SEBI regulations, FEMA regulations, and RBI circulars/notifications.
• Good presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
